The certification requires the company to keep under control all significant environmental aspects related to its activities: from the management of special and hazardous waste to the consumption of resources, from emissions into the atmosphere to the prevention of episodes of soil contamination. The adoption of this standard makes it possible to demonstrate to customers, public bodies and supervisory authorities full compliance with current environmental regulations and a concrete orientation towards operational sustainability.

In practice, every business process is planned taking into account the possible effects on the surrounding environment. The improvement objectives are defined periodically and verified through internal and external audits, ensuring a path of constant growth in the environmental management of Ferrandina and the entire province of Matera.

In the event that episodes of discrimination or abuse occur, employees have the full freedom to report them, by filling out the “Anonymous MDP740B “Anonymous Gender Equality Reports” (Abuse - Harassment - Complaints - Suggestions), made available to all workers.

The BS OHSAS 45001 standard provides La Carpia Domenico SRL with a structured system for managing the health and safety of workers, with particular attention to the prevention of injuries and occupational diseases, even in the most complex operating environments such as environmental remediation sites and asbestos removal activities.

The purpose of applying this standard is to concretely improve working conditions and ensure that employees operate in safe environments that comply with current regulations. Systematic risk assessment, continuous staff training and emergency procedures are the pillars of a system that places safety at the center of every operational activity.

The requirements of this standard also include the assessment of the supply chain: the conditions guaranteed to supplier personnel are not secondary to internal ones, which imposes on La Carpia Domenico SRL a high and consistent standard throughout the supply chain.
